An exciting musical theatre camp where youngsters dance, sing, act and have visual art class every day! Each week's activities are based on a new fun theme! Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and friends are invited at the end of each week for a special performance.

Cabaret Camp for Vocalists!
Ages 11 - 14
Featuring Jazz Standards and Broadway Favorites to Contemporary Classics… vocalists will learn how to put together the total package – how to use a microphone, acting through a song, performance and audition etiquette, simple staging with choreography and how to work with a live accompanist or trio! Our musical revue will be comprised of solos, duets and group numbers catered toward each member of our cast…all accompanied by live musicians in preparation for An Evening of Cabaret!
A preliminary meeting for all participants will take place on Thursday, July 26 at 7pm.
This camp is limited to 18 students.

Ages 13 - 18
A Musical Theatre Scene Study & Audition Master Class with Ray Frewen, of Roosevelt University’s Musical Theatre Conservatory and also a Professional Chicagoland award-winning Actor/Director. While working scenes, songs and monologues from musicals of yesterday and today, learn to connect your body to your voice– an actor’s greatest tool! Become skilled in making educated choices and taking risks. You will gain expertise in stage presence and how to conduct yourself as a young professional in the field of Musical Theatre- a step up from the rest!

Summer Theatre Intensive
Triple Threat
An Intensive Acting & Musical Theatre Camp
with Guest Artists Patricia Rusk and Matthew Kerns from the Chicago Academy for the Arts
For students entering
grade 7 - age 16
This sleepover camp is designed for the young actor with a strong interest in all angles of Acting and Musical Theatre Styles. This year we will concentrate on the challenging works of Stephen Sondheim, one of Broadway’s most prolific and famous musical theatre composers! Each day students will work with acting, vocal and improvisation techniques, along with musical theatre dance styles, to put together An Afternoon of Sondheim! Evenings will be spent having fun with fellow campers and learning about the business from agents, casting directors and professional artists in the area.
Students will be housed on the campus of North Central College and daily classes will be held at The School of Performing Arts, Naperville.

Musical Theatre Production - Godspell
Summer Intensive Musical

Lights up at Theatre Building Chicago, as The School of Performing Arts heads to the city with Godspell!
A Complete Broadway Production experience – Acting, Singing, Dancing, Sets, Lights, Sound, Costumes, Make-up and Publicity! Our student company will learn it all from the pros! Be challenged as an actor and performer in this amazing off-loop Chicago production of Godspell!
Final performances July 24, 7:30 and July 25, 2:00pm and 7:30pm at the Theatre Building Chicago.
$500 includes intensive master classes,
and costume rental.
