What to expect from the beginning to the end of an Audition - what to wear to what to sing...
and what not to sing! What to prepare, how to put a book and a look together and more!
Select students will also be invited to perform their 'audition piece' for Ms. Filip, receiving
professional feedback and new ideas. If you are interested in performing, please bring at least
2 selections and sheet music in the correct key, be sure to come dressed professionally
for your Master Class.

Lara Filip has been a professional actress and singer in the Chicagoland area and beyond
for nearly 20 years. Her career has taken her on National Tours throughout the United States
and Canada, in roles such as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, The Narrator in Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Mistress in Evita. Locally, Lara has been seen in
featured roles at Pheasant Run, The Marriott Lincolnshire, The Paramount, Drury Lane Theatres,
Ravinia Festival and The Royal George. Most recently, she appeared as Enid in Legally Blonde
at the Marriott Lincolnshire. She is a graduate of the Chicago Academy for the Arts and a
proud member of the Actor's Equity Association. She is also an artistic associate with
Porchlight Music theatre and the Artistic Director of Arranmore Center for the Arts.
