TRADITIONAL
Individual instruction is offered in cello, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, viola, violin, and voice. Weekly thirty, forty-five and sixty minute lessons are available. New students should call the school for teacher availability and times.
In addition to the weekly private lesson, The School of Performing Arts offers a number of performing opportunities throughout the school year to enhance the weekly private lesson.
These opportunities include the Sonatina Festival in November, the American Composer Festival in February and the Baroque Festival in April. Festivals allow students to perform for a judge for scores and medals. There is a $20 fee to participate.
New for 2011! A special Halloween recital on Sunday, October 30 will offer students a chance to perform for family and friends in their Halloween costume. There is a $5 fee to participate.
The music department hosts a Holiday Open House each December, allowing students to perform holiday themed pieces.
Spring recitals for all students take place during the month of May. A $20 recital fee is due with the tuition for second semester. Recital dates for 2012 will be announced soon!
