Kristen Burk
Suzuki and Traditional Violin Instructor

Kristen Burk graduated from the Wheaton Conservatory with a Bachelors of Music Education and a theology minor. She has studied with Dr. Lee Joiner, Dr. Paul Vanderwerf, Ansgarius Aylward, Karen Soffer, and Ann Kiefer. Kristen has also been selected to work with Phillipe Quint, Joseph Lanza, William DePasquale, Igor Gefter, Roman Mekinulov, and David Zafer in coachings and master classes.
Kristen has held the position of concertmaster in both the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Williamsville District Orchestra (NY). She has participated in the Bravo International Chamber Music Workshop as a first violin, as well as the New York Summer School for the Arts Festival Orchestra.
Kristen teaches Suzuki and traditional violin, and is a certified member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She is also a member of the Music Educators National Conference, and served as president of her collegiate chapter #360. She is certified by the Illinois State Board of Education with a Type 10 teaching certificate for K-12 music.
