Julia Liu Piano and Cello Instructor

Julia Liu has over ten years of music teaching experience. She currently teaches traditional cello and piano lessons. She began her music training at the age of 3 and half in Taiwan. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree form Loyola University New Orleans, and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University in Evanston. She is a certified K-12 instrumental music teacher.  She taught high school and middle school orchestra in Houston before moving to Illinois to teach middle school orchestra in Indian Prairie School District 204 until 2009.  She has been a performing member of the Houston Sinfonietta and the DuPage Symphony. Julia Liu also works as a professional pianist, cellist, piano accompanist, and frequently judges string solo and ensemble festivals in the Western suburbs. She lives with her husband and daughter.
