For over a decade, Joni Wiltz Berkley has been recognized as one of the Chicago area's leading choreographers, dance and theatre educators, and arts administrators. Mrs. Wiltz-Berkley began her tenure with The School of Performing Arts in 2000 and since has held positions as Director of Administration, Director of Marketing, and subsequently, Managing Director, a title she assumed in 2008. Under Wiltz-Berkley's leadership, The School has continued to establish itself as the Chicago area's leading facility for Dance, Music and Theatre Education.
Throughout her career Mrs. Wiltz-Berkley has continued to keep an industrious schedule working with some of the Midwest's leading arts organizations including the Opryland Theme Park, Mayor Daley's Gallery 37, Summerplace Theatre Company, The Young Naperville Singer, and Steppenwolf Theatre.
A graduate of Millikin University, Mrs. Wiltz-Berkley is perhaps best known for her Musical Theatre Choreography, and is an advocate for the preservation of the art form. She often collaborates with Chicago-area music director and husband, Ross Berkley.
