John is a native of the Naperville area; though he has traveled, worked, and studied in various part of the country.  In 2005 he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied Commercial Guitar.  From there he spent several years in Los Angeles working towards his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, directing worship services, and playing music in several local venues.  Since returning to Chicagoland, John continues to pursue music through teaching, as he is fluent in many guitar styles, including jazz, rock, blues, classical, and finger style.  His guitar instruction includes technique, music theory, sight-reading and ear training. He greatly enjoys teaching all walks of guitarists from beginners to advanced.  John currently resides in Naperville with his wife, Ashley.
