Dance Ensemble Artistic Director

The candidate must have a strong foundation in choreography and dance performance with a passion for education. This position requires the ability to cross collaborate, be a team player, visionary thinker, manage and lead a team of artists, and have excellent communication skills.

The Dance Ensemble is a competitive group with over 40 students. This esteemed performing group boasting both regional and national championships is the pride of the dance department at SPA. More than just a performing group, the Ensemble is designed for young, passionate artists who want to take their performing and dance abilities to the next level. The Ensemble fosters growth in creating the whole performer, focusing on multiple genres of dance…jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, ballet and musical theatre styles.

A&A Ballet Summer Dance Intensive Counselor

The primary duty of A&A Ballet Summer Dance Intensive Counselor is to provide supervision and guidance for students ages 14 to 17 participating either in the 5-week International Summer Dance Intensive.

Applicants must be 21 years of age at the start of the program. We are seeking mature, positive, caring and responsible candidates with relevant previous experience such as: a camp counselor or a position in the field of education. Dance experience is not mandatory put some background in the performing arts would be an asset. If time/class size allows, a candidate may be permitted to take class subject to the approval of the program director.

Dance Educators

Be a part of a new artistic vision!
We are looking for dance educators to join their visionary team!
Candidates should have strong technical background in dance with a
passion to teach.
Seeking teachers for all disciplines and levels; creative beginner, tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and contemporary.
Part-time and full-time positions available. Hiring for fall 2017 and possibly summer.

Business Office Administration

The School of Performing Arts is looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill part time administrative positions immediately.

Applicants must possess outstanding customer service and computer skills, be self motivated, organized, flexible, able to multi-task and have an appreciation for the arts.  Available shifts include week days, week nights, and Saturday mornings.

Group Piano Instructor

The School of Performing Arts is looking for an additional Group Piano teacher for ages 5-6yrs! Used as a preparatory course for private lessons, these classes emphasize introductory note-reading, developing fine motor skills and ear training through at-the-piano time as well as playing music games and singing songs. Looking for someone with a love of teaching group piano for young students and a desire to help build a thriving program.

Classes are held Monday and Tuesday early evenings.

Classes start in September, 2017, but ideal candidate would be available in August, 2017. At least a Bachelors Degree in Music, Piano Performance, Music Education or Composition required. Classically trained in piano preferred.

Group Guitar Class instructor

The School of Performing Arts is looking for a Group Guitar instructor! We currently offer 6 classes for ages 5-adult. Classes for young students should incorporate movement and singing to make the class interactive. We are looking for a fun and energetic teacher who will engage these young students, while teaching them rhythm, strumming patterns and basic guitar skills.

Classes for 13+ should encourage constructive practice habits and teach students strumming patterns, chords and chord progressions.

Classes start in September, 2017, but ideal candidate would be available in August, 2017. At least a Bachelors Degree in Music, Guitar Performance, Composition or Music Education required.

Group Ukulele Class instructor
