Jane Donoho
Piano Instructor
|
Jane grew up in a family where music was a way of life, and taking piano lessons was a requirement. Today, she is very thankful for having music as part of her upbringing. Ms. Donoho is a big believer in the power of music and the benefit it has on a child's development.
A graduate from Illinois State University with a degree in Music Therapy and Early Childhood education,
Jane has worked with children of all ages and levels. Practicing Music Therapy has deepened her belief that music is truly a universal language, and a way of communicating to those that cannot communicate themselves.
Jane enjoys teaching Mini Mozart classes at SPA because she loves to interact with the little ones. However, she is very much open to teaching older students as well. Jane also enjoys educating the parents about why and how music plays an important role and how opening up this whole new world for them is most rewarding.
Residing in Batavia, Jane has also performed on stage at The Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles where she has served on the Board of Directors. |
