A style of dance originally derived from classical ballet emphasizing core strength, grounded movement, and floor work. Modern dance can be abstract or narrative, athletic with partnering skills or ecen acrobatic.

Students should expect to stay in each dance level an average of 2 years. The progress of each student is monitored by faculty and individual level recommendations are made each year.
