2017 International Summer Dance Intensive A&A Ballet’s international summer intensive seminar is a versatile dance training course for serious students with an emphasis on the development of each student’s potential. Classes are offered in Ballet, Pointe, Men’s, Partnering, Variations, Contemporary, Character, Body Conditioning, Repertoire and Choreography and will be taught by Anna Reznik and Alexei Kremnev and A & A Ballet faculty whose dedication to teaching the art of ballet is unmatched.

For more information on auditions CLICK HERE To register for an audition CLICK HERE Location: A & A Ballet, American Rhythm Center 410 South Michigan Avenue Chicago, IL 60605 Sample Daily Schedule 9:30-11:15 – Ballet 11:30-12:30 – Pointe, Variations, or Partnering 12:30-1:15 – Lunch 1:15-2:15 – Classical, Neo-classical repertoire, Contemporary 2:30-3:30 – Classical, Neo-classical repertoire, Contemporary, Character 3:45-4:30 – Choreography, Character, Improvisation, Body Conditioning 4:30-6:30 – Individual training, private solos (additional charges) Tuition: International Summer Intensive: 5 weeks: $2,300 Back to School Directors’ Intensive: 2 weeks: $920 Juniors’ Program: 2 weeks: $950 A limited number of scholarships will be available. Housing A & A Ballet provides supervised housing for all summer students at, a secure, state-of-the-art downtown student residence close to Chicago’s best shopping, finest restaurants, cultural attractions, museums, theatres, parks, and lake-front beaches. Located under a mile from A & A Ballet, the dorm is monitored by a 24hour security staff plus experienced chaperones who live on-site with the students. Room and Board includes shared quad semi-suites, 17 meals per week plus weekly linen service and cleaning. Students will have access to a lounge area on each floor, as well as a fitness center, game/recreational area, laundry facilities, on-site retail, food and banking services. Specific details will be posted soon Housing Costs: TBD Weekend/Evening Activities There will be a variety of activities scheduled for some evenings and each weekend to offer students the opportunity to explore all that Chicago has to offer in the summer. For students staying in summer housing the activities are required and an activities fee will be added. Possible Activities may include:

Chicago Summer Dance Concerts in Millennium Park Art Festivals/Street Fair
Navy Pier Lincoln Park & Zoo Chicago River Walk
A trip to Oak Street Beach Movies in the Park Boat and/or Bicycle Tour
Cubs or White Sox Game Fourth of July Celebrations PIzza Night

Auditions for Cinderella! For Dancers 6 and up This new and exciting production will take a contemporary approach to a favorite childhood story.  There will be opportunity for all dancers and levels to take the stage.  Butterflies, gnomes, shoemakers, Cinderella and her Prince and so many more characters will bring this story to life on stage!

Congratulations to the cast of Cinderella! Look for ticket information this spring! Performances: May 20th at Pfeiffer Hall in Naperville IL, and May 27th at the Studebaker Theatre in Chicago. Ages: 7-12

The Debut Dance Crew is the perfect fit for that young dancer looking for more! This group, designed for Basic and Level I dancers, focuses on the fun and excitement that performance brings. Led by Miss Tori Cahn, Vicki Ranallo, and Katy Wenger, this nurturing and educational experience will be just what your dancer needs to keep them excited and motivated about their dancing. The Debut Dance Crew is the perfect stepping-stone for kids interested in auditioning for dance ensemble as well as the recreational dancer that loves to perform. Audition Information: TO SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION CLICK HERE. Debut Dance Crew and Boys Crew are looking for dancers who have a love of dance, the potential to learn, and a strong performance quality. Dancers should come to auditions ready to put their best foot forward with girls in a leotard, tights, hair in a bun. Dancers should bring jazz shoes and ballet shoes if they have them, as well as a water bottle. Dancers will work on dance technique and performance skills in a nurturing, positive audition environment.

Auditions for DDC and Boys Crew: Sunday, August 7 – 3-5 p.m. Check in at 2:45 p.m.
Informational Meeting: Sunday August 7, 2- 3 p.m.
Ages 7-12 for Basic and Level I Dancers
Rehearsals will begin the week of September 6! Debut Dance Crew will rehearse on Saturdays from 2:30-4:30 p.m., and Boys Crew will rehearse Wednesdays from 4- 5 p.m.

The School of Performing Arts is thrilled to announce The Debut Dance Crew: Boys Crew! This group designed for boys ages 7-12 and provides the perfect fit for your Basic-Level 1 dancer looking to strengthen technique, take class with just boys, and most of all, perform! This group of guys will participate in performances with the Debut Dance Crew in addition to developing their own repertoire of hip hop and tap routines. Led by Miss Katy Wenger, this experience will keep these young boys motivated to keep dancing and nurture their love for performing.
