Elementary Class Voice
Grade 3 - 5

Students explore age-appropriate breathing and vocal techniques through a variety of vocal repertoire, while learning music theory, music reading and sight singing. They will experience how to perform for an audition and for general audiences through in-class performances. The fruits of their labor will culminate in an end of the semester vocal demonstration!

Students must bring a three ring binder, paper, and pencil to the first class.

Middle School Vocal Technique
Grade 6 - 8

This class concentrates on proper singing technique for the developing voice. Students learn focus, breathing, appropriate vocal technique, musical expression, care of the voice, sight singing and theory. Students will sing as part of a group and be assigned solo pieces appropriate for their voice. There will be several performance opportunities throughout the semester.
