Sonja holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance, both from Baylor University, where she was the recipient of the school's award in Piano Pedagogy. Sonja is a trained and licensed Kindermusik® teacher, and a member of the Naperville Chapter of the Music Teachers National Association. In addition to her teaching she is also active as an accompanist, church musician and adjudicator. Ms. Epting has been teaching piano over fifteen years and has prepared students for college auditions, ISMTA theory and performance exams, local festivals and competitions. Sonja has been on the SPA faculty for ten years.
