Nick Pupillo
Dance Instructor
Nick Pupillo trained in Northwest Indiana under the direction of Amy White Hanas and Laura Gallardo Brand. He danced in several Nutcracker performances, including various roles with the Ruth Page Foundation. Nick also toured and performed with Brass Theater featurung the Star Of Indiana. Nick trained for four years on scholarship with Indiana University Ballet Theater under the direction of Jacques and Virginia Cesbron, Leslie Peck, and Violette Verdy. He graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Ballet and also concentrated in teaching and choreography. Nick is a former member of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago where he toured worldwide for three years. He has worked with such choreographers as Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Ron DeJesus, Randy Duncan, Mark Godden, Jon Lehrer, Eddy Ocampo, and Davis Robertson. Nick continues to perform in various Chicagoland performances through Dance Chicago, Dance For Life, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He was recently named as a recipient of the Dance Chicago 2005 Outstanding Choreography Award. He worked with the Cavaliers, an award-winning DCI champion drum corps, providing them with dance training and choreography. Nick currently works as an independent teacher, dancer, and choreographer.
