Auditions for Leading Roles:
If you are interested in a Leading Role please join us for Auditions Tuesday, May 12
6:30 – 7:00pm – Dance Call for all those interested in a leading role – in Studio D
7:00 – 9:00pm – Acting/Singing Auditions in the Sondheim Room

Non-Audition Supporting/Ensemble Roles:
Not quite ready to Audition? No biggee – just register for a Supporting/Ensemble Role within the show and show up at our first rehearsal January 10. The Ensemble is featured in so many numbers with High School Musical, Jr., lots of singing and dancing!
To prepare for your Leading Role Audition: Please be familiar with the scene work and song (will be available in April). Be prepared to sing and read the song/scene during your audition. You do not need to prepare a separate song. All those auditioning will be there between 7:00 – 9:00pm, in addition to the dance call from 6:30 – 7:00pm. Please dress comfortable and wear jazz or tennis shoes. Arrive a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. Please be sure you are warmed up! And, ladies… if you bring a BOY with you to your audition; we’ll have a prize for you!!!
Not available for the Audition date? You may submit an audition video, along with your audition form to cbramlett@schoolofperformingarts.com. All submissions must be sent in by May 11.

Flexible Rehearsal Schedule – weeknights (2) and Saturday mornings
Performances: TBD, July 15-17

Summer Musical Theatre Performance – Les Miserables
Ages: 13 – college
Rated: PG-13, for content
AUDITIONS: MAY 13 7:00-10:00PM
Rehearsals: June 1 – July 3 (no Rehearsal July 4)
Monday/Wednesday afternoons and Tuesday/Friday evenings; some weekends.
You will not be called to every rehearsal; flexible rehearsal schedule for working students.
By Audition Only: Wednesday, May 13 7:00 – 10:00pm, by appointment only.
Audition Requirements: Prepare 32-48 bars of a song in the style of the show; you may choose to sing from the show. Please bring sheet music. Be sure that your song shows your acting ability. You may want to bring a second selection, as well. Please bring a snapshot or headshot and resume if available. Audition forms will be made available online after April 6.
Not available for the Audition date? You may submit an audition video, along with your audition form to cbramlett@schoolofperformingarts.com. All submissions must be sent in by May 11.

Audition “Everything an Actor Needs to Know to get the Part” in Acting and Music Theatre: Following the GUIDEPOSTS in Michael Shurtleff’s “Audition”
For Grades 7 – 12
Prepare yourself for any audition. This class will follow the book and guideposts from one of the best tools in the business – “Audition”. Participants will be required to purchase the book and will work throughout the session to incorporate the guideposts, along with touching on the tangible necessities of the audition process. Class will end with a mock audition session.
Winter Session Only: January 19 – May 13, 2015

STUDIO STAGE SERIES - Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, JR.!
For ages 6 – Grade 5
This year boasts a Studio Stage for children ages 6 – Grade 5 with three performances!
This series is a favorite of The School and is designed as a performance outlet to allow students the opportunity to experience musical theatre at a comfortable pace. Students who have a love for music, theatre, dance, and performance will have a blast attending weekly rehearsals, learning about musical theatre, and perfecting their talents! A final Studio performance will be presented at the end of the session – lights, sound, costumes, props and more set this opportunity above the rest!
For ages 6 – Grade 5
February 14 – May 17, 2015
Rehearsals: Saturdays 9:30 – 11:30am – Sondheim with Miss Heather (HH)
Final Dress Rehearsal: Friday, May 15 (evening)
Performances: Saturday May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2015
